The Hockey Scholarship Fund was created by Beth Millar, Mary Ann Millar Bissett and John A. “Jamie” Millar 4th in memory of their parents and Houlton hockey founding members John and Marion Millar.
Each season, a portion of these proceeds are specifically earmarked for the purpose of continuing an annual educational scholarship. The Scholar Athletic Hockey Award is for a SAMHA alumni graduating high school senior who wishes to further his/her education beyond high school. These students have excelled both in their commitment to hockey and in their academic and extracurricular activities at their respective school. This award is not based on performance as a hockey player. It is based on character and overall achievements during high school. All applications must be submitted no later than May 1st.
Applications can be downloaded below.
The majority of the scholarship funding comes from generous donations and memorial gifts.

Just because we're not running a bottle drive doesn't mean you still can't donate them to SAMHA. Bring your returnables to Florence Avenue Redemption and tell them that the refund is for hockey. Every nickle we receive from your generosity will go towards keeping costs down for our young athletes.
SAMHA would like to thank the following businesses for generously sponsoring our Atoms, Peewees, and Bantams hockey teams:
Love our new uniforms/logo? There are some t-shirts and hoodies family, friends, and the player him/herself can wear. Water bottles and magnets too. Just fill out the form below with a check made out to SAMHA and get it to any board member.
Worn for the first time by our Peewee team on November 14, 2014 against Edmundston #3.
